Quick Tip: Emoji Icons in MacJournal for iOS

-by Mariner Dusty

As a designer, I'm always looking for new and unique ways to organize my documents. iOS has a great feature called the Emoji Keyboard that allows the user to add an array of icons to documents in most apps on the iPhone or iPad. I like to add these awesome icons to my Journals in MacJournal on the iPhone differentiating them from one another while still looking pretty cool.

Here is an example of what the end product looks like:

It's easy to add these to your Journals and Journal entries, but first you need to enable the emoji keyboard.

In the Settings app on iOS, go to General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard. Find the Emoji Keyboard, and tap to add.

When you are editing an entry title, click the globe title in the bottom left of the keyboard until the Emojis appear. There are different categories and pages to choose icons.
