Mariner Software Releases Mariner Write 3.1

Minneapolis, MN – April 3, 2003 -Mariner Software today announced the release of Mariner Write 3.1, the long-awaited version introducing Microsoft® Word translation capabilities. Also added were significant enhancements to the feature set with major improvements of headers and footers, footnotes, endnotes and table support. Various bug fixes and performance enhancement round out the update.

Parsing a multitude of data streams in a Microsoft Word document, Mariner Write processes available data into memory rather than reading from slower disk access. The result is a substantial increase in translation processing speed when reading Microsoft Word-formatted documents.

“In the two months that Mariner Write 3.1 has been in the beta stage, we have intently listened to our customers feedback,” said Michael Wray, President of Mariner Software. “This release combines the significance of major feature implementation while keeping consistent to our business philosophy of giving our customers exactly what they are asking for.”
