Cool Mac Tip: Hidden Password Creator in OSX

Mac OS X has an amazing password creator with multiple options including a strength indicator so you can know if your password is secure enough. You can even create ‘memorable’ passwords that are easy to remember but can still be secure.

1. Launch Keychain Access (In your Applications – Utilities Folder)
2. Select File – New Password Item
3. Click on the blue ‘Password Strength’
4. This cool utility launches called Password Assistant, which shows you the quality of the password and also allows you to create random passwords.

Want an easy way to launch the Password Assistant without going through Keychain Access? Codepoetry has a free script that will do just that.

Have fun creating those passwords!
